Project Lifesaver

Project Lifesaver is operated in collaboration with the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department. It is a public safety program designed to protect and quickly locate persons with dementia who become missing due to wandering. Individuals enrolled in the program wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. This signal allows law enforcement to quickly locate the individual if he/she wanders away.
